A challenge. What to cook and how will I cook it. You have a grill, a George Foreman grill, an old skillet, a fry daddy and a large and small crockpot. We don't like to leave our crockpot on while we are at work for the simple reason that we both work over a half hour away. After our recent events, I stand by this decision.
This does not bide well with having to make quick meals for supper. I am up for the challenge though and if you wish you can tag along by checking in here daily.
Tonight's meal was a roast made in the crockpot (one of us was home all day). For a side we had fried potatoes. I forgot how awesome fried potatoes are in this gem of a skillet! It was a skillet that my dad had. It's been a trusty old friend that I have forgotten about.
This morning, my old friend helped me make pancakes for a VERY hungry little girl! Tonight it helped me make our family favorite: Fried Potatoes. With a little seasoning they were DELICIOUS!
Tomorrow's meal: tacos made with the leftover roast.
If you have suggestions for meals you'd like to see us try, please leave them here. We are open to suggestions as we venture through this challenge and adventure. Please excuse the food splatters from the lids. : )
